Six month assignment for a QUALIFIED Accountant (ACA / ACCA / ACMA) to undertake a technical brief for this retail bank undergoing a period of significant change in financial reporting. As the business plans to separate into divisional reporting lines, a number of nominal ledgers will be created which will need to be validated along with intercompany transactions, treasury reporting and process for governance and best practice on the way forward will need to be defined and documented. Knowledge of IFRS is essential as is a track record of retail banking. Good communication skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholders is essential. Any experience of data separation or integration would be very useful. This is a hand on role and would suit someone from a Big 4 practice (leaving at senior manager status) with experience of banking or someone who has a track record in retail financial services.
