Interim Manager - Head of Information Management

The Role

An Interim Head of Information Management is required by a central government organisation to develop and implement a strategy for handling and storing complex information. You will be responsible for ensuring that there is an information policy implemented, defining what information should be stored, and the medium to be used and equally how this information is to be obtained. You will also lead a large team, and hold responsibility for reshaping and reorganising the department to ensure that the newly developed policies are adhered to. This will involve defining the roles and responsibilities of the team (ie job description), training and development needs, enhancing communications within the team and lead the recruitment of new team members as necessary.

It is essential to have experience of leading a large change programme within a public sector environment. You will also have a strong understanding of information management/security and its application within government organisations. The assignment starts in December 2008, is expected to last for 6-9 months and is based in London.
